Peacock brought its original series Twisted Metal to life at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with a high-octane offsite activation designed to immerse fans in the show’s post-apocalyptic world. Held at THE LOT @ 1st & J, the Twisted Metal Bumper Battle experience invited guests to enter a demolition derby inspired by the series’ iconic in-world tournament. Fans selected their ride from a fleet of custom bumper cars, each themed after signature vehicles from the show, and collided in a custom-built arena set amidst a dystopian scrapyard.

The activation featured show-stopping elements including a showcase of vehicles used in the series, immersive photo ops, branded giveaways, and surprise appearances from in-world characters. Operational signage and detailed environmental storytelling helped transform downtown San Diego into a chaotic arena of metal and mayhem, delivering a multi-sensory brand experience that resonated with Comic-Con’s hardcore fanbase and generated major buzz for the series premiere.
